Company profile

Overview

Apex Capital Corp is based at 301 Commerce Street in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Its website says it has served trucking companies since 1995. The company is privately held. Lincoln International, an investment bank, lists a 2024 transaction in which the management of Apex Capital Corp completed a buyout of the company, so the firm is owned by its management team.

The company says every client gets a dedicated account executive. It says its sales and account staff work in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.

Services

  • Freight factoring. Apex buys carrier invoices and collects payment from freight brokers and shippers.
  • Recourse and non-recourse plans. Apex's own explanation of non-recourse says it takes the credit risk if a customer defaults "for certain situations".
  • Selective factoring. Its FAQ says clients do not have to factor every invoice and can choose which loads to fund. Once a client factors invoices for a given customer, Apex asks the client to factor all invoices for that customer.
  • Funding options. Its freight page lists same-day and next-day funding and instant payments after an invoice is purchased. Payouts can go through blynk, the company's own payment system, which its FAQ says can pay within minutes by Zelle, bank debit card or direct deposit transfer. ACH, wire, check and loading funds onto the Apex fuel card are also options.
  • 24/7/365 factoring. For qualifying clients, funding extends to nights, weekends and bank holidays. A client example on the 24/7 page mentions a 3 p.m. Central paperwork cutoff for the standard same-day cycle. Invoices submitted after that time can still be processed and paid out through blynk.
  • Fuel program. The 24/7 factoring page offers a fuel credit line starting at $2,500 for qualifying clients. A footnote says the client must sign a factoring agreement and enroll in the Apex TCS Fuel Card. The homepage states an average saving of 49 cents a gallon at in-network stops, based on its own TCS client transactions from the first three quarters of 2026.
  • Free tools. The company advertises free unlimited freight broker credit checks, a free online portal, a free mobile app and free load board access through its NextLOAD board.
  • Startup program. A program helps new carriers get operating authority and pre-approves them for factoring.
  • Switching. Apex says it will work with a client's current factor on the buyout and transition.

Industries served

Trucking is the core of the business. The freight factoring page lists dry van, reefer, flatbed, hot shot, tanker, hazmat, car hauling and oversize loads. Apex also has separate factoring pages for freight brokers, oilfield service companies, construction firms, wholesalers and distributors, manufacturers, and staffing and payroll businesses.

Its FAQ says one standard rate does not fit all clients. Pricing is built around each carrier's average freight rate, invoice volume, customer mix and how often it plans to factor. The structure may be a flat rate, a tiered rate or something custom. A flat rate charges the same percentage whatever day the customer pays. A tiered rate rises as the invoice ages. The FAQ says clients can tell Apex when they want to stop.

How to apply

Apex asks for a short application, proof of operating authority and insurance, and a list of current customers for carriers already running under their own authority. Invoices are submitted through the AMP online portal or the Mobile Factoring app. Apex handles collections from freight brokers and shippers.
