Company profile

Overview

Riviera Finance has provided invoice factoring since 1969. Its executive team page says co-founder David Clark started the business that year. The company describes its product as full-service, non-recourse factoring for small and medium-sized businesses.

Riviera says it runs more than 25 offices across the US and Canada. It says it employs 125 people who approve credit, process invoices and send wires, and that it serves more than 2,000 clients. Its FAQ says it serves clients in all 50 states and Canada. It buys creditworthy invoices from customers anywhere in either country. Clients work with an account executive in a regional office.

Services

  • Non-recourse factoring. Riviera says it takes the credit risk on all the invoices it factors. Its non-recourse page says that if it factors an invoice and the customer cannot pay, it absorbs the loss.
  • Credit and collections. The full-service model includes credit approval, invoice processing and collections.
  • FastCredit. An automated credit approval tool. It checks whether a customer is approved for factoring and shows Riviera's payment history on that customer. It is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The non-recourse page says it is offered at no extra cost to clients. New users get a 15-day free trial.
  • ROAM (Riviera Online Account Management). Gives 24/7 access to account history.
  • Fuel card. Discounts at about 1,800 locations nationwide, including TA and Petro, Speedway and Roady's. Its transportation page says there are no account set-up or monthly maintenance fees, and low transaction fees. Riviera does not advertise fuel advances before delivery.

Transportation is one of several industries Riviera serves. Others include temporary staffing, energy, telecom and underground utility contractors.
