Company profile
Overview
Triumph's freight factoring is offered by TBK Bank, SSB, a member of the FDIC. The bank does business as Triumph and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Its holding company is Triumph Financial. According to its history page, the holding company took that name in 2022, along with the Nasdaq ticker TFIN, to mark a shift from a bank holding company to a financial and technology company.
The company's history page traces the group to 2010. That year Aaron P. Graft and a group of investors bought EJ Financial and its banking subsidiary and renamed them Triumph Bancorp and Triumph Savings Bank. Key dates from the same page:
- 2012: entered transportation factoring by acquiring Advance Business Capital.
- 2018: bought Interstate Capital Corporation of El Paso, Texas.
- 2021: its payments business, TriumphPay, bought HubTran.
- 2024: announced LoadPay, a wallet and debit account for truckers.
- 2025: unified its freight businesses (payments, factoring, intelligence and banking) under the single Triumph brand.
On 3 November 2026, the former triumphbusinesscapital.com address redirected to triumph.io. The factoring service now operates simply as Triumph.
Services
- Carrier freight factoring. The company says carriers can factor the loads they want from the freight brokers they choose. It advertises no minimums and no reserves.
- Non-recourse cover. Its factoring page says non-recourse contracts are available. It says it takes the risk on approved freight brokers, with no chargebacks, even if the customer goes bankrupt.
- Freight broker credit checks. Triumph offers freight broker credit checks 24/7. Each freight broker must pass a credit check; there is no approved-freight broker list carriers must stay within.
- LoadPay. A wallet and debit account for truckers. It is a product of TBK Bank, SSB, with a debit card issued under a Mastercard licence.
- Fuel card. Offered by TransConnect Services, subject to approval, not by the bank itself.
- Insurance. Truck and cargo insurance offered through Triumph Insurance Group, Inc.
- Equipment finance. Listed among the company's products.

The factoring page describes its pricing as straightforward and fully transparent but does not list a rate. With no reserve, the advance is the invoice value less the fee. No part of the invoice is held back until the freight broker pays.
Non-recourse cover applies only to freight brokers Triumph has approved. Disputes over the load itself, such as damage or shortages, are normally outside non-recourse cover. A blanket UCC filing covers all business assets, not only the factored invoices.
How to apply
The application includes a soft credit pull and a background check. After a carrier delivers a load, eligible invoices go through an automated decision platform. The company says the platform returns an eligibility decision in 90 seconds on average, with a median of 23 seconds. Instant payments typically land in the carrier's LoadPay debit account rather than an outside bank account.
Triumph's site advertises online and 24/7 on-demand customer service and resources.
