About TAFS
TAFS was an Olathe, Kansas freight factoring company that opened in 2007 and built a business around factoring plus extras such as the F2 fuel card and ProDispatch. eCapital acquired it: eCapital's own timeline lists the TAFS acquisition under 2024, and tafs.com now permanently redirects to ecapital.com. TAFS no longer operates as a standalone brand, though eCapital still runs a client portal for TAFS accounts. Former TAFS customers should treat eCapital as their counterparty and check their inherited terms, UCC filing and broker remittance details.

Company profile
Overview
TAFS was an independent freight factoring company based in Olathe, Kansas. Its About page, as archived in January 2024, said TAFS "opened its doors for business in 2007." The page said it outgrew its original building by 2014 and built a new facility in Olathe. In 2017 it acquired ProDispatch, a dispatch service.
TAFS is now part of eCapital. eCapital's About page lists, under 2024, "Bolstered Transportation portfolio with TAFS acquisition." On 3 November 2026, both tafs.com and www.tafs.com returned a permanent (301) redirect to ecapital.com. There is no TAFS-branded marketing site, rate page or application form. eCapital's client login page lists a separate account portal for "freight factoring (TAFS clients)."
Neither company has published a press release giving the closing date, price or terms of the acquisition, and no trade press report giving them is listed under Sources. eCapital says it has served more than 30,000 businesses.
Services
Before the acquisition, the archived TAFS site advertised:
- Freight factoring
- Factoring for freight brokers
- Factoring for Canadian carriers
- 1-hour advances and night and weekend advances
- The F2 fuel card
- Discounted tires
- A truck maintenance and repair program
- A transportation management system (TMS)
- ProDispatch dispatch service
These extras were TAFS-branded. eCapital's pages do not say which of them continue.
eCapital's freight factoring page now describes these services:
- Recourse and non-recourse freight factoring
- A fuel program with $2,500 in pre-approved credit and fuel discounts at 16,000 locations
- Additional factoring rate discounts for customers who bundle fuel
- Unlimited free credit checks
- 24/7 support
Industries served
TAFS served trucking carriers, including Canadian carriers, and freight brokers. eCapital's freight factoring page, which now covers former TAFS business, is aimed at trucking.
Published terms
TAFS no longer publishes its own terms. The terms below are from eCapital's freight factoring page.
| Term | What the company publishes |
|---|---|
| Advance rate | "Usually around 80-90%, but at eCapital we provide up to 100%"; another answer on the same page says "up to 98% of the invoice amount" |
| Factoring fee | Contact for pricing; fees are deducted from the advance and depend on services used and invoice volume |
| Contract length | "You are not required to sign long term contracts"; no monthly payment obligations |
| Recourse | Recourse and non-recourse offered; under recourse, unpaid invoices are bought back after the recourse period, "usually 60 to 90 days" |
| Funding speed | Payment "in as little as 1 hour"; same-day funding in its comparison table; standard factoring typically 24 to 48 hours |
| Fuel credit | $2,500 pre-approved credit; the comparison table shows $5,000 in one place and $2,500 in another |
Under non-recourse, eCapital's page notes there is no universal definition of when the factor must absorb the loss. An agreement signed with TAFS before the acquisition keeps its own terms unless a new agreement replaces it.
How to apply
TAFS no longer has its own application form. New applications go through eCapital. eCapital says it will be in touch within 24 hours. It says a decision can take a couple of days once paperwork is in. Existing TAFS clients log in through the "freight factoring (TAFS clients)" portal on eCapital's client login page.
